RIDE REVIEW . . . .
It ain’t half hot Doug!!burn was next and the hunt for an open coffee shop.
We started out from BP garage in Churchtown, heading towards the Pennines and Wigglesworth, of course with a quick U-turn for practice.
Dunsop Bridge whipped by, Slaidburn was next and the hunt for an open coffee shop.
Just when we thought it wasn’t our day, a pub in Wigglesworth was our saviour for tea, coffee and some rather tasty brownies.
Nervously viewing the dark clouds in the distance we set off again Starbottom was my favourite place name sign. As we made our way into deepest Yorkshire.
Manor farm bike cafe, for a light bite 😏 and brew
We headed out over the moors, with Tan Hill Pub bustling with visitors. We stopped for a photo OP.
More stunning views over the moors, passing hordes of cyclists and sheep 🐑🐏
Kirkby Lonsdale and Devils bridge was our last stop, back into Lancashire. Turning home Hornby, Caton and the A6. Back to Churchtown.
160 miles in the seat since 9am but wow what a day and what a ride.
